PTO fund-raisers on Thursday

The Carver Elementary School Parent Teachers Organization will hold its Book Fair and Bag2School fund-raisers this Thursday at the elementary school. The PTO will collect items including adults and children’s clothes, shoes (tied together), hats, belts, bags, soft toys, curtains, and bedding (not duvets or pillows) for the Bag2School fund-raiser. The organization receives $250 per ton of donated bagged items and uses the funds for classroom supplies and enrichment programs. Collection receptacles will be located near the entrance to the school’s back building until 8 p.m. on Thursday. Parent-teacher conferences will take place in the school on the same evening. - Robert Knox
