Town accountant to return

Mansfield’s former town accountant, John Stanbrook, is returning to that position, after a nine-month hiatus. Stanbrook left his Mansfield post last January to take over as Cohasset’s finance director. Meanwhile Mansfield officials searched in vain for a new town accountant. Stanbrook found the Cohasset position didn’t meet his expectations and recently approached Mansfield selectmen about returning to his old job. He will leave Cohasset and start in Mansfield at the end of the month. - Christine Legere
