Clear the medicine cabinet

Old pills and other medications may be safely disposed of on Saturday when the city takes part in the National Drug Take Back Initiative. The US Department of Justice is sponsoring the national disposal day to improve public health and safety. Medford police and the public health department will host the city’s drop-off event from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. at City Hall. Residents may bring pills, tablets, creams/salves, cough medicine, and other expired prescription drugs. Drugs will not be accepted from doctors or veterinarian’s offices. - Kathy McCabe
