Delay for town update

The Board of Selectmen has postponed its annual State of the Town meeting and will consider rescheduling for December. The meeting, which was set to be held last Wednesday and was to feature presentations by a number of town boards on upcoming capital projects, was postponed until after Special Town Meeting, set for Nov. 17. Residents submitted a petition to hold the Special Town Meeting, and will vote on a proposal that would use more of the town’s reserves in an effort to lower local property taxes. - Jennifer Fenn Lefferts
