Police will hold a prescription drug disposal day on Saturday from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. Residents can bring expired or unwanted medications to the Fire Department at 273 Main St. for safe disposal. The event is part of a nationwide initiative by the US Drug Enforcement Administration known as National Prescription Drug Take Back Day. The disposal service is free and anonymous, according to police. Syringes, needles, medical devices, thermometers, and IV bags will not be accepted.
