Getting milk from the source

Appleton Farms, a nonprofit and the nation’s oldest continually operating farm, is building a retail shop that will open this month. The shop will sell bottled milk and butter and cheese made from the milk produced by its herd of grass-fed Jersey cows. The shop will be in the barn nearest the farm entrance on Route 1A, and will be open year-round Monday through Friday from 2 to 6 p.m. - Steven Rosenberg
