SHIRLEY
Decisions facing voters in tomorrow night’s Special Town Meeting include whether to authorize selectmen to lease two ball fields behind the Ayer Shirley Regional Middle School for private use. The lease would require the private party to improve the fields at its own expense. Other articles include the transfer of thousands of dollars between accounts to cover pay raises at the library, the continued use of an outside consultant for computer services, and a state-required actuarial study of post-retirement health and life insurance costs. None of the transfers add to the overall budget for the current fiscal year. Special Town Meeting begins at 7:15 p.m. tomorrow in the Ayer Shirley Regional Middle School auditorium. - Jose Martinez![]()
