HOLBROOK
The town is advertising for a part-time health agent to replace William Murphy, despite Murphy’s contention that the job cannot be done effectively on a part-time basis. The agent would work 25 hours a week performing inspections and investigating public health complaints. Applications are due Nov. 11. In an exit interview, Murphy told the Board of Selectmen a part-time agent with no clerical help could not run the department the way it should be run. The Health Department has fallen behind on processing permits and pursuing landlords who fail to make repairs, he said. Murphy took a full-time job in another community. - Jennette Barnes![]()
