Raises for department heads

Special Town Meeting is scheduled for 7:30 p.m. Tuesday at the Buker School. Among the 11 articles on the warrant, one seeks to appropriate funds for adjusting the salaries of non-union employees, primarily department heads. The Board of Selectmen last week was expecting to receive the final results of a salary comparison of Wenham’s non-union employees and those from similar communities. Other articles seek approval of the war memorial design, and changing the annual Town Meeting from the first Saturday in May to the first Saturday in April. - David Rattigan
