Lobster and scallops, pizza and burgers will be among the fare dished out Friday at the annual Taste of Magnolia, a fund-raiser for the nonprofit Magnolia Library Center on Lexington Avenue. About 25 Cape Ann restaurants will serve up their best dishes for the event, which will be held at the library from 7 to 9:30 p.m. Proceeds benefit public programs at the center, which will celebrate its 125th anniversary next year. Cooking demonstrations, a raffle, and an auction called by state Senator Bruce Tarr, a Gloucester Republican, are also planned. Tickets are $30 in advance, $35 at the door. They can be purchased at the center and several local businesses, including Extreme Truck and Auto, Jalapenos, Magnolia Variety, and Palazola’s Sporting Goods.
