Concert for scholarship fund

A concert to benefit the Tri-County Music Association Scholarship Fund is scheduled for Friday at 7 p.m. in the Lyndon South auditorium at Tabor Academy. Tickets for the event are $35 and available at The Bookstall in Marion and at the door. The theme of the concert is “A Tribute to the Great American Songbook,” with music from musical theater and Hollywood classics. Featured musicians will be former scholarship and summer study grant recipients. The association formed 50 years ago to support the Tri-County Symphonic Band, and gives scholarships and summer grants to music students.
