After months of evaluating Town Hall’s operating hours, selectmen voted to make changes to the schedule. Starting the week of Dec. 5, Town Hall will be open until 8 p.m. on Thursdays. In an announcement, Town Administrator Martha White said the decision was made with input from the Natick Center Associates, a nonprofit group that promotes downtown commercial interests. “Over time, it is envisioned that Thursday evenings in downtown Natick will be vibrant, with area residents dining in local restaurants, shopping, visiting the library and conducting their business in Town Hall,’’ said White. Town Hall will be open Mondays through Wednesdays from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m.; Thursdays from 8 a.m. to 8 p.m.; and Fridays from 8 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. The Department of Public Works will retain its extended Monday hours, from 7 a.m. to 7 p.m.; the office will also be open Tuesdays through Thursdays from 7 a.m. to 4 p.m., and Fridays from 7 a.m. to noon.
