Senior center design

Selectmen have set a Special Town Meeting for 7:30 p.m. on Dec. 5 in the elementary school to dispense with two articles. The first will ask voters to authorize $32,000 to cover costs incurred last year when the elementary school’s heating system failed. The second article will ask voters to approve $234,200 to hire an architect to design a new senior center, along with associated costs. A special registration for the Town Meeting will be held from 9 a.m. to 8 p.m. at the town clerk’s office this Friday. - Christine Legere
