Nonunion workers won't receive raises

The Board of Selectmen will not give cost-of-living salary adjustments to nonunion town employees in 2012. The adjustments were not written into early drafts of the budget, but the board decided to revisit the issue after health insurance costs came in lower than expected. The cost-of-living adjustment would have been 2.6 percent, based on figures from the United States Consumer Price Index. - Tom Long
