Blood drive at the high school

Weymouth High School is holding a blood drive for students and staff on Friday from 8 a.m. to 1 p.m. in the school’s Humanities Center. Participants must be at least 17, although 16-year-olds can give blood if they have a signed parental permission form and bring picture identification. Those giving blood also need to meet weight requirements; for more information about eligibility, contact the Red Cross. Before donating, participants should get a good night’s sleep, eat a healthy meal, and avoid fatty foods. The blood drive is sponsored by Allied Health.
