Timothy Gordon, chairman of the Board of Selectmen, expressed disappointment about Avon Town Meeting’s vote this month against creating a committee to explore school regionalization. A similar article goes before Holbrook Town Meeting on Tuesday. Gordon hoped the towns could work together on regionalization. He expects the article will still pass in Holbrook, he said, because it demonstrates to the Massachusetts School Building Authority that the town is following the agency’s request to reach out to other towns before moving forward with planning for a new junior-senior high school. - Jennette Barnes
