Waterways boards to confer

Waterways boards from Marshfield and Scituate plan to hold a joint meeting Dec. 7 to discuss issues of mutual concern, including use of the Scituate peninsula known as “the Spit” and Marshfield’s plan to dredge the South River. Michael McNamara, chairman of the Marshfield Waterways Committee, said he plans to speak this week with the chairman of the Scituate Waterways Commission to refine the agenda. The meeting is scheduled for 7 p.m. at the Scituate Maritime Center, 119 Edward Foster Road, Scituate.
