Plans to build a new senior center have received a boost with the allocation of up to $500,000 for its construction from the state. State Representative Rhonda Nyman, a Hanover Democrat who has been working to secure funding for the center, announced that the money was allocated in a supplemental state budget. The center is to be built on Albion Street on land donated to the town by the Tedeschi family. The center now shares space in the Community Center on Union Street. Cost of the new center is estimated to be $4 million. - Steve Hatch![]()
