Christmas on the Common

Celebrate the start of the holiday season at the town’s annual Christmas on the Common celebration Tuesday. Gather on the Carlisle Center green shortly before 6 p.m.; the official lighting will take place at 6, followed by carol-singing and the arrival of Santa and his elves by firetruck. Follow Santa into the First Religious Society’s Union Hall for cookies and hot chocolate. Youngsters are encouraged to bring along their letters to Santa and drop them into the mailbag. Include a mailing address so Santa can write back.
