The Board of Selectmen and Upton’s members of the Mendon-Upton Regional School Committee will meet tomorrow to appoint an interim replacement for former Upton member Michelle Goodwin. The candidates are Joyce Chiu, Grace Maneri, and Philip DeZutter. The position will be on the ballot in May’s annual town election. Last month, following her resignation, Goodwin and her husband both filed multiple complaints with the School Committee, alleging that it violated the state’s Open Meeting Law during several sessions this year. Following a formal response to those complaints, which the School Committee filed with the state attorney general’s office, chairwoman Heather Applegate said last week, “There are certain specific procedural inconsistencies that we certainly can identify in meeting minutes and meeting procedures. We recognize where there are some areas we can tighten up our procedures and processes, and we are certainly happy to do so.’’
