Selectman Osler Peterson is pushing for Medfield to sign up with SeeClickFix.com. The website allows users to report municipal problem spots and concerns, attaching their report to an interactive map. Local officials are able to view relevant reports on the site, and react to them as they see fit. “SeeClickFix is great way to crowd-source the gathering of the data government needs to run well,’’ Peterson said in an e-mail last week. “The Boston DPW is actually already using a similar system, and the Boston DPW head . . . said they no longer had to send employees out to find the potholes. Rather they just work off the list people submit.’’ Some town officials have told Peterson, however, that they think SeeClickFix might attract frivolous reports. Peterson said the site would still be a valuable resource. - James O’Brien
