The $1 million renovation of the public works facility on Tremont Street will include a fuel station for city vehicles to gas up. The Board of Aldermen last week approved a $285,000 bond to pay for a fueling and dispensation station, estimated to cost $165,000. The city operates only a diesel fuel facility now. The rest of the funding will be used for expenses related to the renovation of the public works facility. The project includes construction of a new operations center designed to improve the delivery of public services, such as street sweeping and snow plowing.
