The Southborough Food Pantry released its “shopping list’’ for February, and is asking residents to help stock the shelves. Items the pantry is looking for include: cereal, cookies, crackers, juice bottles, pineapples, beef stew, canned chicken, mayonnaise, ketchup, chowders, laundry detergent, dish soap, plastic wrap and aluminum foil. The food pantry is run by the United Parishes of Southborough, and is an all-volunteer organization. It is located at the Pilgrim Church, 15 Common Street. The pantry is often forced to buy food during the spring and summer months when donations are low, so residents are encouraged to donate now. Monetary donations are also always needed. Checks can be made out to the “Southborough Food Pantry” and can be mailed to the Pilgrim Church, P.O. Box 281, Southborough, MA 01772. For more information about the pantry call 508-485-4847.
