New principal for Devotion

Brookline’s largest elementary school will start the next school year with a new principal. According to Superintendent Bill Lupini, Jennifer Flewelling, who is currently principal of North Beverly Elementary School in Beverly, will join the staff by July 1. She has been an assistant principal in Bedford, N.H., and an elementary school teacher in Danvers. The Devotion School, which is in the midst of planning for renovation and possible expansion, has been led this year by interim principal Steve Silvestri.
