Jewish Olympians

The Jewish community, like many other communities, has always taken considerable pride in the achievements of its coreligionists, and today, the Forward, a Jewish weekly, publishes a special section on Jewish Olympians, and launches a blog and a series of stories that, according to Forward editor Jane Eisner, will "explore the complex relationship of Jews and sports, and Jews and China.''
Among the Olympians highlighted by the Forward are marathoner Deena Kastor of the U.S., depicted above in a photograph taken by the Globe's Evan Richman at the Olympic Trials Women's Marathon in Boston earlier this year, and baseball player Adam Stern, of Canada, depicted at right in a photograph taken by AP in Fort Myers in 2006, when Stern was playing for the Red Sox.

Why don't you ever write articles about the Methodists and our fine contributions to the world. or the Hindus. Don't you get sick of covering the same religion all the time? I certainly get bored of reading your stuff - it's so predictable.
Then don't read it.
#1 - the story is by Forward, a Jewish weekly. If you have a problem with that, why don't you write an article yourself about Methodists or Hindus, instead of griping that a Jewish weekly wrote an article about Jewish athletes. Honestly, of all the things to whine about...
It's written by the Forward, then why is it posted on the Boston Globe website?
Why does the Boston Globe feel so compelled to highlight an article written in another publication just because it's about Jewish athletes? There are athletes of all religions participating in the Olympics.
I just can't comprehend what makes the Jewish Olympians so special.
