Mark Wahlberg getting bothered at church

Apparently, in Beverly Hills, no place is sacred. Mark Wahlberg, the Dorchester boy turned Hollywood star, is irritated that people have been handing him scripts at Mass. From Starpulse.com:
"I go to church and people ask me if they can be on Entourage, what's gonna happen. I go to church to worship, I don't go to church to talk about it. The stuff that I did with my entourage back in the day is stuff that I'm not proud of and I'm asking forgiveness for; I don't want things brought up in church, but, if you go to church in Beverly Hills, those kind of things happen... I get scripts, resumes, books - people tried to come up to me with a children's book before and I wouldn't take it. They got upset with me. This is church."

Good for Mark for standing up to that. Some people have no class at all.
He is correct, except for this thing about persons of fame having to endure their ignorant fan's.
So Ari Gold's deal in the synagogue was based on real events? I also wonder if Ari's brother will be made the President's Chief of Staff on Entourage, just like his real-life character basis, Ari Emanual.
I'm proud of Mark defending the reason he goes to Church and that it's NO PLACE for business to be conducted. Stick to your guns, Mark!
Tell your mother I said hi
Say hello to your mother for me.
"I don't go to church to talk about it. " he tells publicity site.
What a buncha baloney.
So you're a church goer - what's up with that?
Now I'm a talk to a Goat. What's going on, Goat? I like your beard.
This is Marky Mark at church. "So God........sup? I hear that your omnipotent. How is that? Say Hi to your mother for me".
Further evidence that all the money in the world doesn't buy class.
I don't blame him for getting miffed. He should make a habit of promptly ignoring any requests at church. That is HIS time, not some selfish, inconsiderate wannabee's. He doesn't owe them a thing...
its sad how people idolize actors and actresses in this world...they are people like everyone else...we should put the media to the sword for this...they're to blame!
I don't get it. You go to Church to learn how to be a better person and help people, but do not help the people who are outside of the Church.
Only a moron would think that the media is to blame for his supposed problem. He spends his life trying to get media attention. That is how he makes money..by staying a celeb. What a self serving jerk. Complaining is just another way to get yet more attention. Look, I go to church! See, I am so good. I just want to pray. Make you want to lose your dinner. He needs to stop loving himself so much.
The best way to handle such a jerk is to ignore.
hey donkey how's it hanging? you eat apples right? i produce entourage! say hi to yoah muthah for me, ok?
DORCHESTER!!!
One day, at Church camp...
come on people, it's the same thing as if telemarketers call while you're sitting with your family at the dinner table - you don't want to be bothered either. He has every right to tell these people to leave him alone while he's inside his house of worship. it's Mass, not a movie casting call.
Al B. : So you mean someone who harasses him in church isn't being ignorant?
Mark Wahlberg should be able to go to Mass and be left alone. If I saw my dentist at church I would not ask about my crown. And I certainly would try and pass anyone a resume. People need to give him a break. The Lord be with you, Mark.
Hey Mark this is God, thanks for coming to visit, it was good seeing you. Say hello to your mother for me.
marky mark and the faithful bunch.
Have any animals come up to talk to you yet?
I'm sure I missed something, but what does the whole "Say hello to your mother for me" mean?
Attitudes such all-or-nothing or black-and-white and having no self-restraint, limits, or humility is childish and causes so much trouble in society. It's true that most celebrities want to get attention and be famous, but does that mean people are justified in annoying them even in private moments like during worship? Remember the Golden Rule about doing unto others? Would *you* like strangers getting in your face 24/7? I guess words like "limits" and "reasonable" have no meaning in modern society.
Pretty high-and-mighty for a guy once arrested for a hate crime.
Church? what a joke...
Hey Lamb of God...what's up? You take away the sins of the world, huh? How is that? Say hello to Mother Mary for me.....
"The stuff that I did with my entourage back in the day is stuff that I'm not proud of and I'm asking forgiveness for."
Or, you know, asking for it to be produced into a wildly successful television show for which you get paid millions. But you're right, people should leave you to pray in peace so you can get the greenlight on that flick about those juvie days you're so ashamed of...
sj, go to youtube or hulu & watch SNL skit of "Mark Wahlberg talks to animals."
ahhhh.... ok, thanks shb
oh give him a break. he actually did time, but he is allowed forgiveness. who are you to judge?
Why can't he go to a church where no one knows him?
to Puzzled: Please look up the term 'personal boundaries'. Very appropriate handle on your part.
Larry wins. good one.
