Twin River continues to ramp up its gambling offerings in an attempt to hang onto its customer base when Bay State casinos finally come on line in the next few years.
The Lincoln, RI casino will add 14 more live table games to its existing 66 by the end of this year, the company said today in a statement. The facility just opened table games for the first time this summer.
Twin River already has one of the largest collections of slot machines in the country, with 4,583 slots.
“When we began table games on June 19th of this year we had some confidence of their success, but clearly they have exceeded our expectations, particularly during certain times of the day such as early afternoons and weeknights,” said John E. Taylor, Jr., chairman of the Twin River Board of Directors, in a statement. “We think the time is right to expand our table game offering as evidenced by our success in just two short months, and by the number of guests waiting to play at certain tables, particularly during weekend hours.”Mark Arsenault can be reached at firstname.lastname@example.org.
