Boston Police released a sketch of a suspect in a sexual assault in the city's North End in the early morning hours of July Fourth and asked for the public's help in solving the case. They also urged people to be cautious when walking in the area at night.
A woman told police she was walking on Foster Street at about 3:30 a.m. when she was approached from behind, knocked down, and indecently assaulted. She struggled with her attacker and fought him off.
Police are investigating whether the attack was linked to other sexual assaults reported in the area, said David Estrada, a police spokesman.
Police described the suspect as a young man in his 20s, with light-colored, short hair. They asked anyone with information about the case to call the Sexual Assault Unit at 617-343-4400 or 1-800-404-TIPS or text the word "TIP" to CRIME (27463).
