Police probe fatal shooting in Hyde Park

A man who had been shot multiple times was found dead in a motor vehicle early this morning in Boston's Hyde Park neighborhood, police said.
Police responded at 12:11 a.m. to a report of shots fired in the area of Greenfield and Roseberry roads. The man, who police said was in his 30s, was in a vehicle on Greenfield Road, police said in a statement.
Greenfield Road, which is lined with two-story houses, was quiet this afternoon, save for two men hammering on a balcony. But neighbors said they heard gunshots last night.
Bradford Tucker, who was walking on the street this afternoon, said he heard "seven or eight shots" about 9:30 p.m. Louis Horton, who lives on nearby Hollingsworth Street, also said he heard gunshots, though he thought they came between 8 and 9 p.m.
"I heard pow, pow, pow, pow, about seven shots," Horton said.
Neighbors said they did not know the name of the victim. Police have not identified him or released any further information.
