Rodrick Taylor's lawyer offers explanation of scratches

After his client was sentenced for second-degree murder, attorney John Swomley continued to defend Rodrick J. Taylor. Swomley offered an explanation for why the scratches on his client were not evidence that he killed Dominique Samuels in 2006. The marks came from an argument that Taylor had with the mother of his child, Swomley said. One of the 12 jurors who unanimously convicted Taylor wrote today on Boston.com that he did not find that explanation credible.
