Two Brockton residents face a raft of prostitution charges after state and federal agents swooped down on an alleged brothel in the tony suburb of Wellesley.
A nine-month investigation by a task force that included undercover officers from 15 Norfolk County police departments resulted in the arrests of William Eastwick and Ying Hu, both 43, for operating a house of prostitution at an apartment on Cedar Street, Wellesley Police said.
Detectives began their investigation in the fall after learning that an illegal massage parlor had allegedly moved from Newton to Wellesley, police said. With the help of federal agents from the FBI and Immigration and Customs Enforcement, police arrested Hu Friday and Eastwick Monday.
The man and woman, who live together in Brockton, were arraigned in Dedham District Court. Eastwick was held on $5,000 bail, Hu on $2,500 bail, police said. They are due back in court on July 23.
