MILTON -- Two men were killed and a third was injured in a shooting early this morning in Milton, Norfolk County prosecutors said.

Prosecutors said that one car pulled next to another at the intersection of Brook Road and Randolph Avenue at about 2:30 a.m. Fourteen shots were fired from one car into the other.

The driver of the car that was fired upon, who was not shot, made it to Carney Hospital where one of the car's occupants is being treated. Asa Finley, 26, of Mattapan and Rodney Almond, 37, of Milton, the other occupants of the car, were killed.

The four men had been seen earlier in the parking lot of the Vault nightclub in Randolph.

It was the first homicide case in the community in at least five years.

Such scenes have "just become all too common," Norfolk District Attorney William Keating, said at a news conference this morning at the police station. "We just cannot continue to tolerate this wild and reckless violence."

Local and state police, along with the Boston police, are investigating.
