Statement from Dana-Farber on Easton crash

All of us at Dana-Farber were deeply saddened to learn today that one of our patients and his wife, as well as the Angel Flight pilot bringing them here, lost their lives in a plane crash en route to Boston.

On behalf of everyone at Dana-Farber, I want to offer our heartfelt condolences to our patient’s family, and to all the people affected by this tragedy. This is a horrible, unexpected loss. The Dana-Farber staff and I are anxious to do whatever we can to support the family at this time, as well as the staff here who cared for them.

I also want to offer my deepest sympathies to the family of the Angel Flight pilot killed today, and to the people of Angel Flight. Angel Flight volunteers give greatly of themselves and their resources. Their selfless work makes it possible for many people to get lifesaving care that might otherwise be out of reach.
