A 22-year-old man was hospitalized in stable condition this morning after police said a gunman shot him three times through his bedroom window in Lynn.

The man was shot at 11 p.m. Monday night at his home on Haddington Place, said Lieutenant William Sharp, spokesperson for the Lynn Police Department. Police believe the shooting is gang related.

The victim was taken to Massachusetts General Hospital, where he is receiving treatment for gunshot wounds in his upper shoulder, left hip, and right buttock, Sharp said. He was cooperating with police.

The shooter was wearing a black baseball cap. Sharp would not say whether the victim knew his assailant because the investigation is active.
