A 24-year-old man was killed overnight in a two-vehicle crash with an alleged drunk driver near the Thatcher Street Bridge in Attleboro, police said.

Randy Cummings was pronounced dead at the scene after authorities responded to the crash at midnight, police said in a statement. The driver of the other vehicle, Sean Caponigro, was charged with driving under the influence.

Cummings was behind the wheel of a 2000 silver Chevy Blazer when he apparently rear-ended a white Jeep driven by Caponigro, a 31-year-old from Attleboro. The crash remains under investigation, and it is unclear who caused the wreck, said Captain David Proia of the Attleboro Police Department.

Cummings lived in New Hampshire. Police would not specify which city or town.
