A 25-year-old man was killed in Dorchester early last night in what police described today as a gang-related shooting.
The man was shot several times in the back as he stood on his driveway on King Street at 5 p.m. on Thursday. He was rushed to Boston Medical Center, where he was pronounced dead.
A law enforcement official with knowledge of the investigation identified the victim as Nickland Rosa. Rosa was believed to be a gang associate, the source said, and investigators are trying determine whether the shooting was retaliatory.
Police have not reported making any arrests.
