Gamael Fleury, 19, is facing charges of unarmed robbery and assault and battery after the incident at about 6:16 p.m. on Denton Terrace, police said.

Police said an off-duty officer was home watching television when he heard screaming. He looked out his window and saw the woman lying on the ground, yelling for help. She said she had been attacked by two men. She was taken to Faulkner Hospital for treatment of minor injuries.

The officer broadcast a description of the suspects. With the help of a witness, officers arrested Fleury. The second man escaped. Another witness later walked into an area police station and turned in a purse that turned out to belong to the victim, police said in a statement.
