They're a couple of A-holes. I heard what they said. They said that Republicans should vote today and Democrats tomorrow. It was meant tongue in cheek, but everyone should have the right to vote even if they are not educated enough to understand sarcastic nuance. However, since there are literally dozens of other news sources where these "complainants" could have verified that this info was untrue, it should be seen for what it was ... a joke, people!! It was a radio comedy bit. If you are that dumb not to realize that, then you shouldn't be voting. Surely a disclaimer reminding people that it's a joke would be expected, and in the absence of that, you can't blame the Secretary of State for making a comment about it.

Their publicly broadcast comments were illegal. Voting is for all Americans whether they have a sense of humor or not. To allow WEEI to get away with interfering with elections would set a precedent that will cause tolerance for increasingly worse violations of the law each election year and the offenders will not be held accountable. Stop it here by holding them legally accountable for the good of America. As a registered Republican I'm embarassed by the hateful conduct of my party. I will likely change my party affiliation this coming week as the dust settles.

WEEI long ago stopped being a sports station in my opinion. It has essentially become right wing politics radio. I stopped lsitening as wanted to hear about sports and not politics. Gerry Callahan cannot get by ten minutes on air without interjecting his right wing agenda. The man is probably to the right of even Adolph Hitler. The stunt today by Callahan and Dennis was a sad indictment on WEEI but it is hardly an exception as these hsot have made other insenstive bigoted remarks. It is time for WEEI to take action and dimsiss these clowns.

It's unfortnate that this is how they choose to participate in our democracy. I would like to either see them fined for misusing my (public) airwaves or lose their license. It's not at all surprising to hear this about them given their documented history of racist (METCO controversy) and misgynist diatribes.

Their show is interesting. It's like sitting in a frat house listening to a couple of meatheads discuss politics and morality. Interesing to hear them form thoughts and try and sound intelligent and hilarious when you're intoxicated.

The METCO story was too ugly to revisit in total but sadly we have to remind ourselves about it, now.
Oh, this isn't the first, second, third or sadly the last time they've used the public airwaves and deliberately sought to take away other people's civil rights.
They obviously make money for the station otherwise they would have long ago been booted. So, it only shows that Racism infects even intelligent, clever, talented people which these two must be. I don't listen to them, but their name and show keep popping up in news items about them and these incidents always have a racial element to them.
I can only guess that they know Boston's racial history and rather than the vast majority of good people out their working their asses off to heal that division, these two rats are allowed to feed and nurture the darker instincts. They play to people's fears, and you can build a huge audience around that. "Just come back tomorrow, folks, and we'll scratch that itch again."

What happened to WEEI being a sports station? I used to listen to John & Gerry often on the way to work. But it seems they care more about spewing their far right racist policies than discussing sports. They love to hear themselves talk and consistently talk over themselves so much that it's too annoying to stay tuned in. When WEEI gets rid of these bums I may start listening again.

I miss when WEEI used to be a sports station. I wish they would go back to a sports format in the morning. I have since made the jump to Sirius and will probably never go back to regular radio again.

As a former Mass resident who misses his teams, I would love nothing more than to listen to EEI in the morning over the Internet while I'm getting ready for work. Sadly, these two Bozos make this impossible. EEI management should take a long, hard look at these fools and remember it is a SPORTS TALK station not El Rushbo's Flacidity in Broadcasting network.

This supposed 'sports' talk radio show is pathetic and this stunt isn't a surprise to me. What's more sad is that this story making the news is going to inflate their already over-sized fat-heads and is just the kind of response they are looking for. I did not hear the comment this morning, as I avoid listening to near nazi propaganda so early in the day but if the comment really was "that Republicans should vote today and Democrats tomorrow" I think thats obvious enough to not be taken seriously. These guys are so blatantly right wing that anyone who listens for more than 35 seconds can discern for themselves Dennis and Callahan's political objectives, and in no way did they deliberately try to mislead their listeners.
Also to those who said they no longer listen to WEEI because they don't talk about sports any more you should really check out the Dale and Holly program that airs following the morning show. The only time politics is discussed in during the cross over period with Dennis and Callahan and thats pretty entertaining as Dale and Holly lead more to the right. Worth a listen but secondary to their sports knowledge and discussions.

John Dennis used to be the reasonable one, but somehow he got pushed over the edge during this election. It may be time for these two to shut down their social agenda - even if tongue in cheek, they appear to have broken state law by interfering with the election process.

After reading the subject header and finding out it was related to D&C it didn't surpise me a bit. I like to listen to WEEI in the morning because I am a big Red Sox fan and they speak both knowledgably and insightfully about the team. It's when they talk about politics that irritates me (I admit my views are almost always in opposition to theirs), and lately that's ALL they seem to talk about. For a sports radio station it seems like sports is an afterthought with them. They would rather rant about the injustices of a "socialist, liberal, friend of terrorists" candidate being elected into office.

I have no doubt they were just joking with their comments and will probably mock the entire situation tomorrow morning about people having no sense of humor, or like some of the previous commentors, being too "stupid" to tell when someone is kidding.
