Teen accused of kidnapping, attempted rape in Foxborough
By Anne Baker, Globe Correspondent
An 18-year-old Brockton man has been charged with kidnapping and attempted rape and murder after he allegedly threatened a woman he met at a nightclub with a steak knife.
Adelito Fonseca was arrested Sunday night in Foxborough on charges that also included assault and battery with a dangerous weapon, assault and battery to intimidate, assault to rape, intimidation of a witness, and assault and battery.
According to a press release issued by Foxborough police, Fonseca met the woman at a Rhode Island nightclub and drove her to Foxborough. Fonseca allegedly threatened to kill her if she did not have sex with him.
The woman got out of the car, according to the release, but Fonseca allegedly forced her back into the vehicle by putting a knife to her throat. After being driven to Chestnut Street in Foxborough, the woman screamed for help and residents called police.
Investigators seized a large steak knife from Fonesca’s car, police said.
Fonseca was arraigned in Wrentham District Court today and entered a not guilty plea.
Fonseca had been out on bail while awaiting trial on charges of underage drinking and possessing a firearm without a firearm identification card, said David Traub, a spokesman for the Norfolk District Attorney’s office. The bail was revoked.
He will be held without bail for 60 days, after which an additional $50,000 bail will be levied against him. Fonseca will next appear in court for a pretrial hearing Dec. 17, Traub said.

Smart girl there getting into a car with a total stranger. Hope she learned a lesson from this mistake that could have cost her life.
she is lucky,i hope she learn( the lesson)always remember mama dont talk to stranges worst go with them .girls even boys doesnt matter how old are you danger is every where.take care life is only one.
What country is this guy from....? Same old story here....
I hope HE learns a lesson... Don't kidnap and rape women...
Blaming the victim for not being smarter and hoping "she learned her lesson" is insane. Please remember that the mistake and wrong-doing here was on the part of the would-be rapist. Put blame where blame belongs. Instead of spending time and money teaching girls not to go with or trust strangers, why don't we teach boys not to rape and pull knives????
THIS CHICK IS LUCKY!!!! GOD WAS WATCHING OUT FOR HER!!
It is obviously George Bush's fault.
GOD KNOWS WHT THAT MAN COULD HAVE DON 2HR SHE IS LUCKY I AGREE WITH ERICA!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
In the 3rd world they call this "romance".......
In a 3rd world he would have just been shot on the side of the road, here in Mass we will put him in a cell and give him things many Americans can't afford. Makes one wonder...
Wait a week, someone somewhere will blame the police....
Don't blame the victim, sure, but don't avoid an opportunity to remind people of what should be common sense- if you want to go home from a club with a total stranger you've only known for a few hours (maybe less), you are taking a risk in doing so and people might not always be around to help. I'm surprised this woman did not know better. That doesn't excuse what they guy did, but it doesn't mean we should stop trying to teach people this lesson that could save someone's life.
Wrong choice by this lady, however penelty shouldn't be what this poor lady went thru! She fought back, and won!! Now lets see what our liberal courts here in Ma. due to this violent monster!
Education is no substitute for poor judgment. Yes, in an ideal world, there would be no crime committed by both men and WOMEN, but expecting such platitudes to be true in the real world is just plain ignorant. Given the reality, you hope that your family and friends are there to protect you when you are most vulnerable or show poor judgment. Chastising the woman for showing poor judgment is not blaming the victim. I would do the same if this were a man-on-man crime.
Where do you get that idea being rape is call romance in 3rdworld country poster#8?, in Asia and the middleeast. He will be a dead man, I think this
country is not serious enough about crime like these. In other conservative
country raper is just as guilty as a muder so don't say things like that.
when you don't know the fact.
The front page headline is much more interesting:
"Brockton teen accused of rape at knifepoint"
... "Rape me or I'll stab you!!" sounds a whole lot different than "If you don't let me rape you, you'll get stabbed"
Never get into a situation that you are not in full control. If you are stranded, call someone. Parents, siblings, and/or friends might be upset that they have to drive late at night but would be thankful that you called them.
Keep yourself safe at all times.
One mistake is enough. Smart girl to scream for help!!!!
Interesting that noone mentioned that old tired truth innocent till proven guilty .This is not tv people lie . and before you all complain too much about the accused having rights ask yourself how it would feel to be falsly accused of such a crime . and to be tried online by a pack hungry wolves. get a grip and if you are so fond of other countries harsher systems why not go live there ?
Here is the real story, the male is 18 and the woman is 31 years old, she gets into a mini-van with five other guys from a night club and drives with them from Providence, R.I. to Foxboro. After shortly arriving the apt, the male starts to sober-up and realizes how ugly the female is and decides to kick her out the apt(especially when the other guys are mocking him for messing with such an ugly girl). Male then tells her that he wasn’t about to drive her back to Providence at 3:35am (they argue). He tells the other guys that he will kick her out the van on the side of the highway because he wasn’t about to drive her home. Female over hears that comment standing steps away from the exit door of the apt, (they argue again). They both get into the vehicle and drive down the block where he tells her that he doesn’t have the capacity to drive her home, (they argue even louder). The neighbors hear the commotion and call the cops. She makes up the story to get back at him. Couple of things to keep in mind. She hops in a car full a strangers, drives to MA, at 3:00am in the morning, a 30 something year old woman to a strangers house and doesn’t plan on having sex. What woman of that age do you know is that naive, think about it (maybe they was going to play video games). His biggest mistake was (The knife) which was going to be used to kick her out the van. This teen is no boy scout, has priors and makes poor decisions. FYI, the male has a beautiful girl his age, and is into “thug life”- not forcing women. Maybe karma had a play in it, when he decided to cheat. He could have avoided the whole situation by just giving her cab money and sending her on her way.
I've known adelito (adi) for a long long time now, and I'm shocked at what he's being accused of. Adi is the kind of guy that is loving and caring, he's absolutely not perfect in any way, but neither is any human. I can honestly say that this is just another one of those cases where the male is being falsely accused of something that is being totally blown out of proportion. This girl obviously went home with him for a reason. If you meet a complete stranger at a club and you've only known him for a few hours (if that) then why would you trust them to bring you home? She knew what she was doing. She left the club with every intention on going home with him. Once she got to his house she probably changed her mind and wanted to act stupid. Now she's ruinning a young mans life because she wanted to make a really stupid decision. Like I said before, I've known Adi for as long as I can remember and he's not that guy that she's telling the police and everyone else for that matter. He's sweet and caring and would never ever do anything like that.
Get tha details to a case before posting a comment....how can one pass judgement with no info......how ignorant....find out tha details of a case .....things are funny when at that time a girl wants to go all tha way to Mass. with a car full of guys......should def. raise some kind of flag in a thinking societies mind
