Rescue workers have closed Huntington Avenue from South Huntington to Brigham Circle after a fire department ladder truck crashed into a high-rise apartment in Mission Hill.
Police expect the road to be closed for a significant amount of time and urged drivers to seek alternative routes.
The E branch of the MBTA's Green Line, which runs on Huntington Avenue, has also been affected by the crash. Riders are being bused.
Outbound passengers going beyond Brigham Circle must board the Route 39 bus. Inbound riders must also use the Route 39 bus and can board the Green Line at Brigham Circle.
