An 85-year-old woman was killed Tuesday night when she was hit by a car as she crossed a street in Cambridge, police said.

Helen Chin of Medford was hit in a crosswalk as she walked across the intersection of Oxford and Wendell streets near Harvard Divinity School at about 6:30 p.m.

The driver of the vehicle was a 31-year-old female, Cambridge Police spokesman Frank Pasquarello said. No charges have been filed. The investigation is continuing, he said.
