By Caitlin Castello, Globe Correspondent
Keep the shovels and winter jackets outómore snow is on the way.
Despite the high today of a balmy-feeling 48 degrees, Boston is expected to receive 2 to 4 inches of snow tomorrow morning, starting at 7 a.m.
While the morning commute should not be affected too much, drivers should allow for some extra travel time, said meteorologist Kim Buttrick of the National Weather Service in Taunton.
The service issued a winter storm watch for Plymouth, Bristol and Barnstable counties. In those counties, the Weather Service said, the storm could dump as much as 4 to 8 inches of snow.
Boston has received 49 inches of snow so far this winter season, 26.7 inches above the normal snow fall for this time of year, Buttrick said. See a recent Globe story about how the heavy snowfall is testing New Englanders.
The rest of the week is expected to be dry with high temperatures ranging from the mid-20s to the mid-30s.
