Authorities are investigating the death of a man who was killed Thursday night after being struck by a Red Line train at the Savin Hill T stop, said Joe Pesaturo, spokesman for the Massachusetts Bay Transportation Authority.
The call came in at 11:21 p.m., said Jennifer Mehigan, spokeswoman for Boston Emergency Medical Services. The man — who was not immediately identified — was declared dead at 11:39 p.m., she said.
Details of the accident were unavailable Thursday night, and it was unclear whether the death was an accident or a suicide. The incident is being investigated, Pesaturo said.
