One killed in West Bridgewater highway accident
By Emma Rose Johnson, Globe Correspondent
A 34-year-old Raynham woman was killed and another woman was seriously injured in a car accident in West Bridgewater this morning, State Police said.
Ginger Santos died in the single-car crash on Route 24 near Route 106 at approximately 9:50 a.m., police said. Lieutenant David Wilson, a State Police spokesman, said that a preliminary investigation indicated that the two women were traveling southbound when their Ford Explorer went out of control and rolled over. Neither of the two were wearing their seatbelts, and both were flung from the car.
Tanya Terry, 35, of Taunton was transported by helicopter to Beth Israel Deaconess Medical Center in serious condition, said Wilson
The cause of the crash is under investigation. Police are asking any witnesses to contact the State Police Middleboro Barracks at (508) 947-2222.
