A 55-year-old Florida woman was arrested today in the slaying in that state of former Hingham Police Lieutenant Paul Cadigan.
Dianne Parker, 55, of Malabar was arrested and charged with first-degree murder.
Cadigan's body was found Sunday in a wooded area in St. Cloud, seven days after he was last seen alive. He had been shot multiple times, and his body had been dismembered.
Police believe that Cadigan was killed at Parker's residence. Police did not release any information on the alleged motive for the slaying.
Cadigan, 62, retired as a lieutenant from the Hingham police in the 1990s and moved to Palm Bay in 2004.
