Workers at an East Falmouth cranberry bog made a startling discovery when they drained the bog to work on a sprinkler system this afternoon: the remains of what appeared to be a human body, said Falmouth Police spokesman Nathaniel Aronson.
The discovery was made at 2 p.m. at the Backus River bog, which sits between the Falmouth Country Club and Old Meetinghouse Road.
The body was unidentifiable immediately, and the state medical examiner removed the remains to Boston for testing.

hmmmmm ? theres going to be some funny tasting cranberry juice!
Gross. I won't be drinking Cape Codders for a while.
does anyone else feel like having a glass of cranberry juice besides me??
i am totally grossed out and will never drink juice again.
We're talking about a person's life here and all you can think about is the cranberry juice? I hope the family of the person who passed on doesn't read your insensitive and self-centered comments.
darwin was right!
Probably there were no berries growing at the time, it being winter and all, duh....
the thing everyone needs to remember is who knows how long its been there we could have already had contaminated cranberry products
it's more like cranbody bog now
For everyone that has lived in East Falmouth for years, i'm sure we all have a pretty good idea who the body is, and how it got there.... Have we finally found the body of the missing first wife??? Or perhaps the daughers boyfriend that disappeared.... HUMMMM....?!?!?!?!?
