Bison at Buttonwood Park Zoo have been blamed for polluting parts of Buzzards Bay. State officials have detected an increasing amount of fecal bacteria in the past three years. Dr. William Langbauer, director of the 10-acre zoo in New Bedford, said they are "working on it."
