Authorities search N. Andover pond for missing youth

Authorities in North Andover are searching a pond today after multiple people reported that a youth had trouble swimming there this afternoon, police said.
The boy went missing in Berry Pond in the Harold Parker State Forest shortly after 3 p.m, said Sergeant Thomas McEvoy. McEvoy said the case was a "drowning." According to broadcast reports, the victim was an 18-year-old from Lawrence.
No further information was immediately available.
