Helicopter crashes in Lake Winnipesaukee; no injuries reported
By Stewart Bishop, Globe Correspondent
A helicopter crashed into Lake Winnipesaukee in New Hampshire this morning, but the four people onboard escaped without injury, according to the Federal Aviation Administration.
The helicopter, a Robinson R44, was trying to land on a dock near Beaver Island in the northwestern part of the lake, when the pilot lost control and the aircraft slipped into the lake, said Alison Duquette, spokeswoman for the FAA.
