Holbrook murder suspect won't fight extradition
By Marc Larocque, Globe Correspondent
State Police are arranging with authorities in South Carolina to bring back to Massachusetts a 26-year-old fugitive wanted for a July 10, 2008 murder in Holbrook.
Kencheser Martin of Chelsea, Mass. was arrested after a routine traffic stop on Monday in South Carolina's Richland County. He told a court in South Carolina today that he would not fight rendition to Massachusetts, where he faces a murder charge, said Norfolk district attorney's spokesman David Traub.
Martin is the fourth defendant in the killing of Osahon Ighodaro, a 25-year-old Quincy College student from Holbrook. The three others have pleaded not guilty and are being held without bail.
Martin initially gave North Carolina police a false name and failed to produce a license, Traub said. Traub said an arraignment date for Martin will be set when he's returned to the state.
